He was predeceased by: his parents, Orville Smith and Lillian Smith (Hier); and his grandson Jonathan Miller. He is survived by: his wife Evelyn A. Grandgeorge; his children, Linda Miller (Terry), Barry Smith (Diane) and Roger Smith; his grandchildren, Chris Miller, Ryan Smith (Amanda Rutherford), Jenna Stewart (Josh), Katy Miller Vallo (Justin), Brett Smith (Alyssa) and Laura Frieders (Craig); and his great grandchildren, Nora, Isaac, Harper, Jack, Elsa, Riley, Jameson, Lucy, Grace, Micah, Louise and Teddy. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Fox Valley Community Services (FVCS) in Sandwich, Illinois.
