He was predeceased by: his parents, John Potter and Ruth Potter (Jones); his siblings, Norman Potter and Joan Bryant; and his in-laws, Claude and Hallie Dotson.
He is survived by: his wife Katherine Dotson; his daughters, Diane Banning (Randy), Debra Potter (Skip Fry) and Dawn Lambert (Dave); his grandchildren, Sara Kolacny (Ethen), Tyler Banning, Matt Lambert (Amanda), Michael Lambert (Katy) and Megan Lambert; his brother Eugene Potter (Mary Ellen); Pine, Matthew and Derek. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
