He was predeceased by : his parents, Michael Stankiewicz and Eugenia Stankiewicz (Galashinski); his former life partner Joyce Smerlinski; and his siblings, Daniel Stankiewicz, Rita Lipski and Mary Robertson.

He is survived by : his wife Shirley; his children, Pete Stankiewicz (Abby), Mark Stankiewicz and Jeanne Hawk (John); his stepchildren, Colleen Lengrand (Lenny), Greg Thomas (Vicky), Ellen Granneman, Douglas Case (Donna), Jeri Dorman and Christine Bishop (Steve); his grandchildren, Griffin, Nicholas, Andrew Stankiewicz, Daniel Hawk (Janelle) and Virginia Leasure (Darrin); and his siblings, Michael (Barbara), David (Kathy), Marc (Cindy), Judith McDonald, Catherine Ferlitsch (Michael) and Jane Ryan (Bill). He is also survived by 5 step grandchildren and 11 step great grandchildren.
