He was predeceased by: his parents, John G. Gahl and Frieda Gahl; and his sisters, Evelyn (Don Pinne), Arlene (Gene Littwiller) and Joan (Jim Dixon).
He is survived by: his wife Verna Gahl (Smith); his children, Andra Nagle (Dan), Wayne Gahl, Julie Morrison (Michael), Keith Gahl (Nicky) and Tenley Proudfoot; his stepdaughters, Barb Orsborn (Mike) and Kay Smith; his grandchildren, Cassandra Smith (Greg), Christopher Woodman (Sarah), Casey Woodman (Emily), Cody, Cassidy Woodman (Jacob Wehler), Laura Woodward (Shane), Brion Gahl, Dylan Gahl, Preston Gahl, Cade Gahl and Andrew Columbi; his great grandchildren, Kaylee, Alyssa Smith, Greggory Smith, Peyton Woodman, Christopher Woodman Jr., Thomas Woodman and Liam Woodman; and his great great grandchildren, Alana Thomas and Isabella Berry.
