He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Ostenson and Nellie Ostenson; his wives, Mavis Ostenson and Vida Ostenson; and his sons, Ron, Richard and Jimmy Ostenson.
He is survived by: his daughters, Lynette Loven (Jim) and Sandra Stevens (Matt); his grandchildren, Torrie Gullikson (Steve), Tracy Meffert (Chad) and Johnathan Bosze; his great grandchildren, Joshua Aaron Richter, Kayla (Jake), Kasi (Jeremiah) and Erica; and his siblings, Doris, Norma, MaryJane and Albert. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, August 14th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, August 15th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Christ Our Savior Church (5506 Reimer Dr, Roscoe, IL 61073).
He was a proud supporter of the Big Fish Foundation, a charity devoted to helping veterans find connection, healing, and growth within their communities.
