He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford Jerde and Carrie Jerde (Halverson); his wife Carol; and his sisters, Carol Rumpf and Marvelle Beard.
He is survived by: his children, Dan Jerde (Donna) of Gladstone, Debbie Smith (John) of Charleston and Darin Jerde (Janet) of Centennial, Colorado; his grandchildren, Danielle Cherian (Pavil) of Chicago, Allison Ohlander (Andrew Yonke) of Wheaton, Natalie Drake (Adam) of Charleston, Eric Jerde (Ashley) of St. Louis, Krista Hughes (Tyler) of Kansas City, Hanna Jerde and Elsa Jerde of Centennial, Colorado; his great grandchildren, Marek Cherian, Lukas Cherian, Mila Cherian, Cora Ohlander, Erin Ohlander, Gabe Ohlander, Noa Eager, Wesley Drake, Barrett Hughes, Tripp Hughes and Eva Jerde; his siblings, Marilyn Mathison, Carmen Osland, Paul Jerde and Dean Jerde; and his close friend Vivian Fezzuoglio.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 16th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Christ Community Church (820 S Randall Rd, South Elgin, IL 60177). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 16th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Christ Community Church (820 S Randall Rd, St. Charles, IL 60174).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity to be determined by the family at a later date.
