With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary Principato (South Elgin, Illinois), born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on November 11, 2025 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Joseph; her daughter Tammy Lorence; her parents, Joseph Sanzone and Virginia Sanzone; and her siblings, Connie Montelbano (Pete), Salvatore Armado (Ruth), Paul Armado (Dorine), Dolores Armado and Carol Swiatkowski (Tom).
She is survived by: her children, Ann Barreto (Roberto), Virginia Urbane (Jeffrey), Jodi Ginter (Glenn), Joseph Principato (Casey) and Peter Principato (Laura); her son-in-law Stephen Lorence; and her sister Stella Dolivo (Joe).
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 21st 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory (95 S Gilbert St, South Elgin, IL 60177). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 22nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Alzheimer's Association, http://www.alz.org, would be appreciated.
