He was predeceased by: his parents, John Hughes and Ida Mae Hughes; his children, Ronald Dale Hughes, James Kelly Hughes and Dawn Hopper; his siblings, Helen Evers, Susie Cury, Carrie Hughes, Opal Copple, Leroy Hughes and Albert Hughes; and his son-in-law Kevin Burlison.
He is survived by: his wife Katherine; and his children, David Hughes (Carol), Joyce Burlison, Bruce Robert Hughes (Kathy), Frank Robert Hughes (Martha), Phyllis Hale (Mark), Juanita Burgess (Jeff), Susie Pollard (Elmer) and Diane Misener (John). He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
