He is survived by: his daughter Mindy (Steve); his siblings, Robert "Bob" (Delma) and Linda; his grandchildren, Brie Bolin (Josiah), Cara Cowell (Erik), Anna Cross (Allecia), Addison Lee, Haley Ring, John Lee, Arik Lee, Andrew Friess (Emily), Matthew Friess and Lauren Friess; and his great grandchild Carter Cowell. He is also survived by grandchildren, "Grammy and PaPa".

Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 27th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Pechacek Funeral Homes - Chester (839 Lehmen Dr, Chester, IL 62233). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, September 27th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the same location.
