He was predeceased by: his parents, James Fritz and Etta Maude Jones (Wakefield); his wife Rita Jakusz; his siblings, Velma Kerr (Jim), Roy Jones (Merle), William Jones, Ed Jones (Lois), Verla Tomlinson (Charlie) and Jack Jones (Sylvia); his brother-in-law Bob Newton; his grandson Joshua Owen; and his son-in-law Gary Erb.

He is survived by: his children, Barbara Erb of Fenton, MO, Mike Jones (Deb Hartman) of Lenzburg, IL, Pat Jones (Cindy Franklin) of Marissa, IL, Susan White (Michael Merideth) of Sparta, IL and Joni Jones Hall (John) of St. Libory; his siblings, Betty Newton and Tom Jones (Lorraine); his grandchildren, Amy St. John, Christoper Erb (Tiina), Jeff Erb (John Kulper), Brian Jones (Tara Waker), Kyle Jones (Alex), Sarah Mathews, Patrick Jones, Jr. (Mackenzie), Scott White (Gina), Stacy Slavens (Phil Edwards), Jason Owen (Rachel) and Emily Stroder (Josh); and his great grandchildren, Danielle St. John, Patrick St. John, Lainey Erb, Ellie Kuelper, Adriana Marks, Aiden Jones, Ivy Jones, Marleigh Slaton, Alex Keith Jones, Rosemary Jones, Jacob Hodge, Madison Frazer (David), Lucas Jones, Patrick Russell Jones, Lacy Finks, Caden Finks, Lilly Finks, Logan Jones, Brody Jones, Jack White, Peyton Slavens, Reese Slavens, Matthew Owen, Lucas Owen, Lydia Stroder and Colby Stroder.
