He is survived by: his wife Amy Venus (Harvey); his children, Zachary Venus of St. Louis, Danielle Venus of Coulterville, Noah Venus (Alisa) of Alton, Dylan Wahlman of Sparta and Lucas Venus of Sparta; and his siblings, Steve Venus of Florida, John Venus (Paula) of Tennessee, Cheryl Engleman (Paul) of Arnold, MO, Edith Dagner (Harold) of Altamont, IL, Roy Venus of Dupo, Henry Venus (Cassie) of Chester, Loretta Bickett (J. R.) of Texas, Paul Beck (Amy) of Texas, Mary Boxum of Texas and Martha Hughes (Frank) of Sparta. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 2nd 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Loyalty Missionary Baptist Church (11940 IL-154, Sparta, IL 62286). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 2nd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
