With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Wanda Louise Brunkhorst of Sparta, Illinois, born in Saint Louis, Missouri, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 6, 2025 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Shelton and Alberta; her son Arthur Brunkhorst, Jr.; and her siblings, Albert Carlyle, Robert Carlyle, Wesley Carlyle, Juanita Speece, Judy Stanko and Betty Appel.
She is survived by: her children, Lawana Tedder (Ron Sawyer) of Benton, IL, Lora Tripp (Charlie) of Benton, IL, Shannon Brunkhorst (Lorraine) of Mulberry, FL and Curtis Brunkhorst of Centralia, IL; her grandchildren, Kandace Rees (Ronnie), Krystle Hagston, Ashley Wolfe (Josh), Ryan Scott, Amanda Ximenes (Denis), Nicholas Brunkhorst, Jacob Brunkhorst and Sophia Brunkhorst; her siblings, Mary Poole, John Carlyle and Richard Carlyle; her pet Evie; and her friend Richard Scott.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 11th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Lighthouse Assembly of God Church (221 Stevenson Dr, Sparta, IL 62286). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 11th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
