It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bonnie Kay Gewalt of Spring Grove, Illinois, who passed away on June 4, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold McGrath and Florence McGrath; her husband Fred; and her sister Nancy Benton. She is survived by: her children, Karl (Ellen) of McHenry, Kristin of Spring Grove and Paul (Nicole) of Wildwood; her grandchildren, Karly, Brooke, Eleni, Morgan, Kyla and Jack; and her brother Tim McGrath (Victoria) of Tennessee.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 10th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Strang Funeral Chapel (410 E Belvidere Rd, Grayslake, IL 60030). A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, June 10th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
