It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carol Sue Piland of Spring Valley, Illinois, who passed away on December 16, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Bloomer and Caroline Bloomer; her husband Hubert "Jack" Piland; her son Hubert Piland III; and her siblings, John Bloomer, Don Bloomer, April Deichen, Barbara Cott, Dorothy Brown and Leonard Bloomer.
She is survived by: her son Daniel Piland of LaSalle; her daughter-in-law Barbara Piland of LaSalle; her granddaughters, Danielle "Dani" Piland of LaSalle, Heather Costello (Anthony) of Peru and Charlotte Piland of LaSalle; her siblings, Mary Russell (Jesse), Shirley Solomon, Sharon Smith (Mike) and Karen Voth; and her siblings-in-law, Cora Bloomer and Herb Deichen. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
