He was predeceased by: his parents, Glen Hillstrom and Naomi Hillstrom (Halbert); his wife Sandra M. Garland; and his siblings, Robert Hillstrom and Beverly Pruitt.
He is survived by: his children, Erik Hillstrom (Stephanie) of Brodhead, WI, Amanda Hillstrom of Spring Valley and Matthew Hillstrom (Jodi) of Boca Raton, FL; his grandchildren, Owen Hillstrom of Brodhead, WI, Macy and Teagan Hillstrom of Boca Raton, FL; and his brother Rich Hillstrom (Susane) of Naples, FL. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly suggests a donation to the IL Veteran's Home at LaSalle or to plant a tree in Ron's memory.
