Terry Emmerling Obituary
We bid farewell to Terry Emmerling of Spring Valley, Illinois, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on November 21, 2025 at the age of 87. Terry touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Emmerling and Veronica Emmerling (Reeland); his wife Marie; his grandson Zachary T. Swingle; and his brother Herman Emmerling.
He is survived by: his children, Susan M. Swingle of Morton, IL, Julie A. Eilers (Kerry) of Spring Valley and Terry F. Emmerling (Sheryl) of Granville; and his sister Catherine Wagner of Florida. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 25th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Wednesday, November 26th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:15 AM at the Barto Funeral Home (120 W Cleveland St, Spring Valley, IL 61362). A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, November 26th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Nativity of Our Lord Parish (St. Anthony Church) (510 Richard A Mautino Dr, Spring Valley, IL 61362).
