Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved John Hyatt Jr. of Springerton, Illinois, born in New Harmony, Indiana, who passed away at the age of 98, on February 21, 2021. He was predeceased by : his parents, John Hyatt and Frances Hyatt (Shepard); and his wife Edna Straker (Straker). He is survived by : his children, John F. Hyatt Jr. of Springerton, IL, Steven Hyatt of St. Charles, MO, Shannon Gollner of Newburgh, IN. and Rebecca Croft of Owensboro, KY.; and his close friend Byron Musselman of Hopewell, PA.. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; 17 great- grandchildren; eight great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in John's memory to the Carmi American Legion or VFW to be used military funeral details and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home in Norris City who is in charge of arrangements.
