He was predeceased by: his parents, John Lawrence and Lois June Bartel Peterson; and his sister Sonja Miller. He is survived by: his wife Jan Peterson of Springfield; his siblings, Jan Briscoe (Chuck) of Cincinnati, OH, Larry Peterson (Kathy) of Taylorville, Kristen Wilson (Verne Uvodich) of The Villages, FL and Erica Peterson of St. Louis, MO; his siblings-in-law, Bill Bryan of Waco, TX, Jill McDonald (Bill) of Evansville, IN and Ulanda Bryan of Clinton, IL; his nieces and nephews, Megan, Kelsey, Jonathan, Allison, Jennifer, Alicia, Angela, Leah, Reed, Eric, Chris, Heath, Kelly, Stephanie, Shelly and Courtney; and his pet Petie. He is also survived by one uncle; five cousins; and the most recent love of his life.
