He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Schober and Johanna Schober (Aubel); his wife Barbara Ann Smith; and his son Ronald Schober. He is survived by: his children, Michael Schober (Linda), Janet Willis (John), Doug Schober (Shawn DeVillez) and David Schober (Kim); and his sister Bonnie Alewelt. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 24th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Vancil-Murphy Funeral Home (437 S Grand Ave W, Springfield, IL 62704). A funeral service was held on Monday, November 24th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the same location.
