She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert H. Bomke and Virginia Anne Bomke (Bumgardner). She is survived by: her husband John Charland; her children, Christine Williams Grizzard (Phil) and Bret; her fiancés, Kate Thalken of Normal, Illinois and Williams of Normal, Illinois; her grandchildren, Zach, Aubrie and Miah; her brother Art Bomke (Carol) of Vancouver; and her nephew Aaron Bomke (Jonna) of Edmonton Alberta, Canada. She is also survived by three great-nieces.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church, Lutheran World Relief or Grace Lutheran Food Pantry.
