Betty R. Waggoner Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty R. Waggoner of Springfield, Illinois, who passed away on June 26, 2025, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Betty had on those she encountered along her journey. Though Betty may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, her essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Calbert Roberson and Wilma Roberson (Sinclair). She is survived by: her children, William Waggoner (Sharon) and Tracy Hopkins (Neal). She is also survived by four grandsons; and ten great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 7th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Bisch Funeral Home West (2931 S Koke Mill Rd, Springfield, IL 62711). A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, July 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Sunset Memorial Park (3901 N Vermilion St, Danville, IL 61834).
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Central Illinois Food Bank. Checks can be made payable to Central Illinois Foodbank.
