Brenda will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around her. Friends and family will honor Brenda by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence she had in their lives. Though Brenda is no longer present, the bonds she created and the experiences shared will endure. Brenda’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew her.
She was predeceased by: her father Clarence Huyear; and her siblings, Betty Breese and Jerry Huyear. She is survived by: her mother Merry Ione Huyear (Hewitt); her husband Tom; her children, Todd Hartsook (Cristi) and Ami Paluska; her stepson Robert Muench (Shayna); and her brother Joe Huyear. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren.
A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Butler Funeral Home- Springfield (900 S 6th St, Springfield, IL 62703). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Christ the King Catholic Church (1930 Barberry Dr, Springfield, IL 62704).
