He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Joseph Saladino Sr. and Alberta Saladino (Oswald); his daughter-in-law Laura; and his great grandchild Jameson. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Saladino (Townsend); and his children, CJ of Chatham, Mark (Mary) of Springfield, Gary of Champaign, Paul (Ann) of LaGrange, Diane Boyle (Jim) of Springfield, John (Stacy) of Sherman, David (Kellie) of Springfield, Jean Beccue (Jeff) of Mt Pulaski and Karen of Bloomington. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and many beloved cousins and friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 13th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Staab Funeral Home - Springfield (1109 S 5th St, Springfield, IL 62703). A funeral Mass was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Christ the King Catholic Church (1930 Barberry Dr, Springfield, IL 62704).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St Patrick's Scholarship Fund in memory of Carl.
