He was predeceased by: his father Carl Wesley; and his cousin Johnny Jacobs. He is survived by: his mother Karen Sue Jacobs, Sr. (Davis) of Springfield; his children, Carly Jacobs (Austin Chapman) of Springfield and Nathan Shepherd of Springfield; his grandson Soren Angelo Shepherd; and his siblings, Wendy (Bob Black) of Springfield, Phillip Davis (Veronica) of Schaumburg and Donald Jacobs (Cheri) of Auburn. He is also survived by several nephews and cousins.
