It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carol L. Hurley in Springfield, Illinois, who passed away on May 1, 2026, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Gwen Kriener (Betcher) and Harry Kriener; and her husband John T. Hurley. She is survived by: her brothers, Harry Jr., Arnold, Paul, Jon and Billy Kriener; her children, Kathleen (Rick Blackmer), Eileen (Mark Waninger) and Patrick (Teresa Shaw); and her grandson Sean Liam Blackmer. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
