It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carol J. Chilton of Springfield, Illinois, who passed away on February 22, 2024, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Mark J. Bartlett and Frances E. Bartlett (Dodds); her daughter Barbara Meinholdt; her brothers, Mark G. "Jerry" Bartlett and Kenneth W. "Mooser" Bartlett; her grandmother Nettie M. Dodds; and her pet Kadi Jo.
She is survived by : her husband Bobby G. Chilton; her sons, Douglas Chilton (Terrye) of Stuart, FL and Brian Chilton (Titia) of Port St; her sisters, Kay Nichols of Springfield, Joyce Reynolds of Pawnee and Diane Manning (Glenn) of Rochester; her sister-in-law Linda Williams (Lee) of Springfield; her stepgrandchildren, Kara, Nakia and Dorian Taylor; and her close friends, Avis Madel of Canada, Darlene Robison of Florida, Mary Fulgenzi of Springfield and Margaret Shoemaker of Arkansas. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
