We are sad to announce that, on February 19, 2026, at the age of 83, Cepeah Tyler Sr. (Springfield, Illinois) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Green Tyler and Annie Tyler (Prophet); his wife Evelyn Tyler; and his siblings, Nina Mae Henderson, Willie Mae Rush, Leon Tyler, Birda Mae Brown, Lula Mae Birchfield and Vera Mae Davis.
He is survived by: his children, Cepeah Tyler Jr., Lisa Tyler, Tamika Wicks and Teresa Wicks; and his sister Mary Lee Whittaker. He is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a host of other special relatives and dear friends.
