She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Burton and Gladys Mattix Burton; her husband Alonzo L. Sexton; her brothers, Victor Burton (Geraldine), John Burton and Harold Burton; and her children, David and Ruth Ann.

She is survived by: her children, Linda Benson (late Jeffrey) of Rochester, Brenda Semon (late Mike) of Springfield and John Burton of Springfield; her grandchildren, Jennifer O'Brien (Matt) of Rochester, Stacie Marcum (Ryan) of Cantrall, Kathy Semon of Springfield and Ryan Pike of Springfield; and her great grandchildren, Eilish, Seamus, Andrew, Alex, Emily and Julian. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
