The memory of Darl E. Young of Springfield, Illinois, who passed away on June 2, 2025 at the age of 67, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by: his parents, Darl A. Young and Helen Snyders Young; his mother-in-law Victoria Bergschneider; and his siblings, Mary Olmstead and William Young.
He is survived by: his son Darl A. Young II (Allison) of Carbondale, IL; his grandchildren, Garrett Speith and Victoria Young; and his sisters, Carole Ann Delmanowski of Kingsburg, CA, Nancy Klemm of St. Charles, MO and Susan Deweese (Richard) of Springfield, IL. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Andrew's Catholic Church (724 Mulberry St, Murphysboro, IL 62966). A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Calvary Cemetery (2001 N 1st St, Springfield, IL 62702).
