He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Merle and Ella Louise Shaw (Koehn); his wife Donna Jean Stout; his son Bryan Shaw; his granddaughter Donna Marie Colon; and his brothers, Russell Chase, James Shaw and Kenneth Shaw.
He is survived by: his children, Tracy Peterman (Trent) of Sherman and David L. Shaw, Jr. of Springfield; his stepdaughters, Marla Matticks (Rod) of Cottle Ville, MO, Cindy Carey (Jeremy) of Dexter, MO and Mary Jo Conrad of Quincy; his grandchildren, Carson, Jayda Peterman, Timothy O'Bryan, Jeremy Matticks (Murk MatteBlack), Trevor Matticks, Brianna Dondanville (Matt), Andrea Carey (Justin Adams), Kaylee Strickler (Scott), Madison Carey, Gaberial Conrad (Gabriella Davis) and JoAnn Louise Schanz; his great grandchildren, Henry, William, Emma Dondanville and Ivy Mae Strickler; and his siblings, Rose Chase of Zeper Hills, FL, Sandra Shaw of Springfield, Bobby Shaw (Sue) of Springfield and Michael Shaw (Carol) of Rantoul.
