He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard B. Austin and Violet Austin (Arthur); his wife Wanda J. Reed; his siblings, Betty Ruth Walker, Howard Robert Austin and William Roger Austin; and his grandson Aaron Michael Austin.
He is survived by: his children, Kathy Bell (Timothy) of Springfield, David Austin (Patti) of Riverton and Roger Austin (Stacey) of Springfield. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 27th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the West Side Christian Church (2850 Cider Mill Ln, Springfield, IL 62702). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 27th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
