With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Debra Mary Geist of Springfield, Illinois, who passed away on May 7, 2026 at the age of 72. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Paul Francis and Katherine Frances Powell (Bown); her husband James Michael Geist; her children, Michael Geist (Lori) of Springfield, Melissa Geist of Springfield and Jennifer Robinson (Les) of Springfield; and her siblings, Susan Roth (Raymond) of Rochester, IL, Judy Havrilka of Moscow Mills, MO, Nancy Disterheft (Don) of La Porte, IL, Janice Bounds of Springfield, Paul Powell (Gem) of Madison, ME, William Woods of Girard, Richard Woods (Tammy) of Peoria, William Powell (Katie) of Chambersburg, PA, Patrick Woods (Tina) of Springfield and Eddie Woods of Springfield. She was also cherished by seven grandchildren; three great grandchildren.
