Donald L. Hoelzel Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Donald L. Hoelzel of Springfield, Illinois, who passed away on January 22, 2026 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald E. Hoelzel and Virginia M. Hoelzel (Bee); and his brother Mark Hoelzel. He is survived by: his son Jeremy K. Hoelzel of Springfield; his grandchildren, Shawndrea Oglesby (Frances) and Cheyenne Johns (Christopher); his sister Lynn Evans (Warren); his great grandchildren, Kaydence and Mason; Zoe. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
