It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald Lee Schaffner of Springfield, Illinois, who passed away on August 8, 2022, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Emma Mary Franklin. He is survived by: his children, Tammy Schaffner of Henderson, NV, Pammy Finn (Rick) of Springfield, Grace Allen (Craig) of Chatham, Mary Louise Gabriel (Paul Mass) of Florida and Gary Sunley (Doris) of Georgia; his grandchildren, Kimberly Murdock (Mike), Jill Rae Potter, Tonya Valdez (Al), Gary T. Sunley (Sarah), Richard Barrington (Rosimar), John Tyler Barrington (Windy), Greg Finn (Amy) and Zach Finn (Beth); his brother Harold Hibbs of Texas; and his sister-in-law Peggy Franklin. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
