He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Geiger and Frances Witzig Geiger; and his siblings, Gary Geiger and Judith Geiger. He is survived by: his wife Marjorie Rothrock; his children, Christa Babb (Steve) of Lawrence, KS, Debra Geiger (Joey Carrasquillo) of Denver, CO and Dr. Douglas Geiger (Blue) of Bloomington, IN; his grandchildren, Octavia Geiger, Claire Fundingsland (Eddie), Reid Geiger, Tom Babb, Adam Babb and Grace Geiger; his brother Garrel Geiger; his nephews, Dr. Jason Geiger and Dr. Tracy Geiger; Julie Geiger.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Baptist Children's Home and Family Services or the Central Illinois Food Bank.
