It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elizabeth Ritter of Springfield, Illinois, who passed away on January 8, 2026, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Michael Zrillic and Betty Zrillic (Golab); and her husband Edward. She is survived by: her close friend Mark Veith; her daughter Christina Bax (Jeff) of Springfield, IL; her grandchildren, Nick Bax (Carolina) of Sandoval and Baylee Brantley (Joseph) of New York; her great grandchild Sage; and her pets, Bella, Leo and Lucy. She is also survived by several nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 24th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the Butler Funeral Home- Springfield (900 S 6th St, Springfield, IL 62703). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 24th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
