We are sad to announce that, on August 14, 2022, at the age of 74, Emma Rebecca Ishmael of Springfield, Illinois, born in Jacksonville, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilbur DeFrates and Felicia DeFrates; and her brother Richard "Dick" DeFrates. She is survived by: her children, Kimberly Gentry (Sonny) of Springfield and Derek Ishmael of Springfield; her grandchildren, Trista (Josh), Adrian and Michael; her siblings, Loraine Lewis (Jerry) of Jacksonville and Jerry DeFrates (Marilyn) of Jacksonville; and her former husband Fred Ishmael (Toni). She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made to Central Christian Church in Jacksonville, Alzheimer's Association or Simmons Cancer Institute.
