With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Ernest A. Prosperini Sr. of Springfield, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 5, 2026 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Armando Prosperini and Tesolina Prosperini (Verna); his wife Delores Foltz; his daughter Virginia "Ginny" Broccardo; and his siblings, Manfred "Mel", Tony, Joseph Prosperini and Clementine Gunsett.
He is survived by: his son Ernest A. Prosperini, Jr. (Carol) of Springfield, IL; his son-in-law Ronald Broccardo of Springfield; his grandchildren, Lisa Powell (John), Michelle Harden (Adam), Ron Broccardo (Monica) and Nikkie Stefan (Mark); his great grandchildren, Ryan Cleaver (Cori), Evan Powell, Emilee Powell, Adam Harden, Eden Harden, Evie Harden, Alaina Broccardo, Braden Broccardo and Henry Stefan; and his great great grandchildren, Landon Elder-Cleaver, Rylee Cleaver, Kai Schulze and Cayden Schulze. He is also survived by Several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
