It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eugene Lloyd Grieme of Springfield, Illinois, who passed away on July 26, 2025, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Carroll Grieme and Gwendolyn Grieme (Walsh); his wife Janet Grieme; his children, Brian Grieme, Nathan Grieme (Carrie) and Rebecca Loman (Bradley); and his grandchildren, Braydan Damm, Brett Loman and Benjamin Loman.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the West Side Christian Church (2850 Cider Mill Ln, Springfield, IL 62702). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Paradise Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Lutheran High School for a scholarship for his grandson, Braydan Damm.
