She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Martindale and Eve Martindale; her former husband James Bruce Carey; and her grandson Kobe Carey. She is survived by: her husband Bill Buoy of Springfield; her sons, Brian Carey (Carla) of Pleasant Plains and Craig Carey (Carla) of Springfield; her grandchildren, Christy, Codie, Nickie, Colt and Bre-ann; and her stepdaughter Stacey Graven (Dean) of Springfield. She is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the Butler Funeral Home & Cremation (900 S 6th St, Springfield, IL 62703). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
