We are sad to announce that, on September 8, 2025, at the age of 96, Ferdinand A. Fulgenzi of Springfield, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Ferdinand is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Ferdinand's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Adolfo Fulgenzi and Margaret Fulgenzi (Daniele); and his sister Darlene M. He is survived by: his girlfriend Darlene Burtle; his daughters, Margaret Sauer (Ed) and Karen Brooks (Phil); his grandchildren, Annie Wood (Chris), Jeff Sauer (Barbie), Drew Sauer (Stephanie) and Brad Sauer (Haley); and his siblings, Donna Putting (Dick) and Jim Fulgenzi (Linda). He is also survived by ten great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
