He was predeceased by: his parents, Marseille Howard and Frank Richardson Sr.; his daughter Jennifer Richardson; and his siblings, David Richardson, Alfonzo Howard, Barbara Richardson Jones, Shirley Howard and Rhonda Campbell.

He is survived by: his son Trevor Richardson of Jacksonville; his siblings, Joseph Myles of Rockford, Bradley Howard (Jennifer) of Wood Dale, Judith Beverly (Carl) of Springfield, Diane Howard of Springfield, Carolyn Richardson of Minneapolis, MN and Sheila Richardson of East St; his aunts, Rev. Lois Hayse (George) of Springfield, IL and Ruby Lee Sandefer of Springfield, IL; and his uncle Paul. He is also survived by two grandchildren, and a great grandchild.

Frank worked as a cook for multiple businesses and he eventually retired from Gateway Foundation as the head cook.
