With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gail Ann Churchill of Springfield, Illinois, who passed away on September 29, 2025 at the age of 75. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her father Ronald Briggs; her son Brandon Mefford; and her brother Jerry Briggs. She is survived by: her mother Helen Briggs (Stevens) of Springfield; her son Shane Mefford of Howell, MI; her grandchildren, Sierra, Drew and Lexy Mefford; and her sisters, Lynette Rhodes of Springfield and Jill Brillhart of Springfield. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Together Church (225 N Grand Ave E, Springfield, IL 62702). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be made to Together Church on North Grand.
