Gary Bass Obituary

We are sad to announce that, on August 17, 2020, at the age of 80, Gary Bass of Springfield, Illinois, born in Ramsey, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, James Bass and Geraldine Bass (Womack); his wife Helen Bass; his children, Tim Bass (Nancy) of Dawson, Matthew Bass of Phoenix, Cindy Murphy (Scott) of Rochester and Amy Grant (Scott) of Springfield; his grandchildren, Nicholas Murphy (Laverne), Emily Murphy, Audrey Murphy, Zachary Grant, Christopher Grant, Joshua Grant, Christa Bass and Allison Bass; his great grandchildren, Kayden and Liam Murphy; and his sisters, Gaye Nieukirk of Chillicothe, Connie Barton of Peoria and Pat Finn (Dave) of Peoria. He was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
