Gary Alan Drone Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Gary Alan Drone of Springfield, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 29, 2025 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Dewey Drone and Naomi Sexton Drone; his wife Barbara Flesch; and his brothers, Kingsley Drone and David Drone.
He is survived by: his daughters, Diane LaBonte (Don) of Baton Rouge, LA and Linda Haeger (Raymond) of Lisle, IL; and his grandchildren, Katherine Harte of Chicago, Bridget Calderone (AJ) of Jamestown, NC, Kara Sabin (Joe) of Baton Rouge, LA and Patrick Harte of Springfield, IL.. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
