In loving memory of Genevieve Cowden of Springfield, Illinois, who departed this world on May 15, 2026 at the age of 100. Genevieve leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawrence Francisco and Ida Francisco; and her spouse Thomas D. Cowden. She is survived by: her children, Cheryl Craig, Diane Woodson (Kevin), Thomas A. Cowden and Donald R. Cowden; and her grandchildren, Elisha Beard, Matthew Woodson (Zoey), Jennifer Craig, Michelle Cowden, Amy Cowden, Josiah Cowden (Cassie) and Jessica Fields (Taylor). She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church.
