He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur F. Dirks and Ercell Dirks (Janssen); and his brother John William Dirks. He is survived by: his stepson Matthew Farris; and his brothers, Larry Dirks (Barb) of Petersburg, IL and Frank Dirks of Jacksonville, IL..
