It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of George R. Dyson of Springfield, Illinois, who passed away on August 23, 2025, at the age of 105, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, George L. Dyson and Myrtle Dyson (Rowland); his brothers, Willard and Lemuel Dyson; and his son-in-law Delbert Lancaster.
He is survived by: his children, Robert G. Dyson (Carol) of Springfield, Judy Lancaster of Taylorville and Kirk Dyson (Mary) of Springfield; and his stepchildren, Jeff Schlindwien (Diane) of Springfield and Lisa Sherell (David) of Florida. He is also survived by five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
