George G. Savage II Obituary
We announce the death of George G. Savage II of Springfield, Illinois, who passed away on October 11, 2026, at the age of 86. George will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry G. Savage and Ruth Savage (Brannon); his daughter Allison J. Savage; his brother Terry Savage; and his pets, Eric, Max, Rocco and Chica.
He is survived by: his wife Burma Donley; his daughter Angela Ice (Darren) of Rochester; his granddaughter Molly Wood (Michael) of Sherman; his siblings, Margaret Skoda of Springfield, Bill Savage of Champaign and Ben Savage (Mary) of Raymond; his sister-in-law Judy Savage; his great grandchild Reese Wood; his close friends, Wynn Heyen and David Hardy; and his pet Lola. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Monday, October 19th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Butler Funeral Home- Springfield (900 S 6th St, Springfield, IL 62703). A funeral service was held on Monday, October 19th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, and the Animal Protective League.
