We are sad to announce that on April 18, 2024 we had to say goodbye to Gerald D. Grigg of Springfield, Illinois, born in Girard, Illinois. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

Though Gerald has departed this earthly realm, his legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate our lives in the darkest of hours. May his spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Dale Grigg and Geraldine Grigg (Hays). He is survived by : his children, Diane M. Nickel of Thayer and James R. Grigg (Debbie) of Auburn; his grandson Jeremy M. Grigg (Kala) of Springfield; his great grandchild Gavin M. Grigg; and his stepgreat-granddaughter Katy Parsano. He is also survived by three stepsisters and several cousins.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 24th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Staab Funeral Home - Springfield (1109 S 5th St, Springfield, IL 62703). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 25th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
